Jon Symcox
Physiotherapist
Jon graduated with a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton (UK) and has built a diverse career across the NHS, private practice, and physiotherapy sports rehabilitation. His experience includes managing a private musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy clinic, as well as working as a physiotherapist in London, treating a wide range of clients, from those recovering from injury or surgery to active gym-goers and competitive athletes.
Jon has a particular interest in tendon and ligament injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and long-term injury management, all underpinned by the principles of strength and conditioning. He has worked with athletes across a variety of sports, including soccer, rugby, running, powerlifting, and CrossFit, and has a particular appreciation for the role that progressive strength training plays in improving performance, reducing injury risk, and supporting long-term physical resilience.
Jon’s approach combines a strong biomechanical understanding with careful listening to identify the underlying cause of a problem rather than simply treating symptoms. His rehabilitation philosophy is bespoke, progressive, and goal-driven, with a focus on education, progressive loading, mobility, and movement quality to achieve long-term results. He is passionate about equipping clients with the knowledge, strategies, and practical tools they can use outside the clinic to support their recovery and continue performing at their best long after treatment has finished.
Having previously competed as an athlete at a high level himself, Jon understands the physical and mental demands of training and rehabilitation firsthand. Outside the clinic, he enjoys lifting weights, sprinting, loves following soccer, and is happiest when he can spend time at the beach or enjoy water sports. His own sporting background helps him relate to the challenges his clients face and reinforces his commitment to helping them return to the activities they enjoy with confidence.
